Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access Players Should Delete Their Saves and Uninstall the Game Before Final Release – Larian

Baldur's Gate 3_03

Developer Larian has announced that players that have the early access version of Baldur’s Gate 3 should delete their save files and uninstall the game before the title’s full release to prevent file conflicts.

The game, slated for release on August 3, will require a full reinstall, and the studio has said that even early access installs of the title will essentially be reset.

The announcement comes shortly after the studio revealed that the PC version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will not be available for pre-loads before the full release. The reason for this is that Steam doesn’t allow pre-loads of early access titles, since it would cause conflicts for players actually playing the early access version of the game.

On release, Baldur’s Gate 3 is slated to need quite a bit of storage—a whopping 122GB. For more details on when the massive RPG will be available to play in your part of the world, check out the global release timings here. For more details, stay tuned for our review of Baldur’s Gate 3.
