Ghost of Tsushima Surpasses 1 Million Units Sold in Japan
Ghost of Tsushima has been a massive success for Sony and Sucker Punch, and the open world samurai epic has continued to sell well in the (nearly) three years that have passed since its launch. It is, of course, also a game with strong appeal for Japanese audiences, and unsurprisingly, it’s sold quite well in the region as well.
Taking to Twitter via its official Japanese account, Sony recently announced that Ghost of Tsushima has sold over a million units in Japan. There’s no update on its worldwide figures, but at last count, as of July last year, its total sales stood at 9.7 million units.
Though a Ghost of Tsushima sequel hasn’t yet been officially unveiled, Sucker Punch job listings have suggested that one is very much in the works. If, however, you’re hoping for an announcement in the near future, recent reports have unfortunately claimed that it won’t appear at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase.
