Arkane Austin released Title Update 3 for Redfall recently, with the only new content being the Basilisk, a new Unrivaled Sniper Rifle. However, it offers plenty of much-needed changes and fixes. Enemies like the Siphon and Soulless are deadlier, and general pathing for foes is improved. However, what does the future hold, especially with a “redemption arc” reportedly desired by Bethesda?
At the end of Title Update 3’s patch notes, the developer said it’s continuing development of the Hero Pass. It’s also excited to share more about the new heroes and other updates “later next year.”
The Hero Pass is included in the Bite Back Edition and adds two new heroes with new skills and playstyles. Other details are still to be confirmed. As for other features, time will tell, but the studio said it would look into removing the always-online requirement for single-player. At least Title Update 2 added the promised 60 FPS Performance Mode on Xbox Series X.
