Street Fighter 6 will feature cross-play multiplayer, as well as rollback net code. While not officially announced by Capcom itself, the existence of cross-play has been revealed by fighting game YouTuber Maximilian Dood, who has seemingly confirmed it directly with the developers.

The presence of rollback net code in Street Fighter 6 has been revealed by Giant Bomb and GameSpot’s Tamoor Hussain, who was also able to confirm it with the developers after trying out a demo of the game. When Hussain asked about the quality of the rollback net code when compared to Street Fighter 5, the developers didn’t elaborate.

Earlier this week, Capcom revealed that Guile will be joining Street Fighter 6’s roster. Shown off in a gameplay trailer, the Street Fighter 6 version of Guile brings back all of his classic moves, and is also able to use a power up that allows him to fire multiple Sonic Boom projectiles in one go.

Street Fighter 6 is set to launch in 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is being developed using the RE Engine, and new features to the game include new mechanics, and its World Tour Mode. More details on the game will be revealed during the Capcom Showcase, which is set for June 13.
