Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon Debuts on Top of Weekly UK Retail Charts

Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon continued the glut of excellent new releases with its launch last week, and unsurprisingly, has got off to a solid start. As per data released by the Gfk for physical software sales in the UK (via GamesIndustry), FromSoftware’s mech action game was the highest-selling title in the region last week. 64% of all physical copies were sold on the PS5.

Another major new release, Immortals of Aveum, had a less impressive debut, with its lukewarm critical reception being reflected in its physical launch sales in the UK. The game failed to break into the top 10, debuting at No. 21.

Meanwhile, a number of older releases re-entered the charts, with The Witcher 3 climbing up to No. 9 due to a 45% increase in sales following a deal on its PC version, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga jumping up to No. 6 following a massive 145% increase in sales, courtesy of a PS5 bundle. The likes of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and Grand Theft Auto 5 also figure in the top 10 (though the latter, of course, does that on a pretty regular basis).

You can view the full top 10 for the week ending August 26 below.
