Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Sets Engagement Records for Reboot Trilogy

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3_01

Despite its controversial campaign and continuing issues with multiplayer, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has done well. Sledgehammer Games tweeted that the sequel had set new engagement records for the reboot trilogy, with more hours per player than Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare 2 (2022).

Treyarch’s new Zombies mode is also the most engaging third mode in Modern Warfare history, and campaign players have invested more time per player than the previous two games. The coming weekend will double XP, weapon XP and Battle Pass XP for all players to celebrate.

Sledgehammer also confirmed that Season 1 would launch on December 6th with new maps and a “ton of new content.” There should be more details in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our review, where we enjoyed Zombies, found the multiplayer decent with significant issues, and the campaign disastrous, settling on a 5 out of 10.
