Dying Light: The Beast Peaks at 121,222 Concurrent Players on Steam

Dying Light The Beast

Techland’s Dying Light: The Beast has scored well among critics, but what about sales? Following news that it crossed one million pre-orders before launch, it recently hit 121,222 concurrent peak players on Steam.

That’s less than half of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, which reached nearly 275,000 peak concurrent Steam players around its launch. Of course, that’s coming off the positive reception of the first game. With the mixed reactions to the sequel, especially in the wake of several updates, Techland is effectively working its way back (and positive word of mouth could help bump the numbers up).

Of course, this is only for Steam – PS5 and Xbox Series X/S may contribute a higher portion of player numbers, although Techland has yet to provide any sales figures. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.

Dying Light: The Beast is currently exclusive to current-gen platforms, but it will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One later this year. Check out our review, where we gave it a nine out of ten, praising the combat, world design and horror elements.
