While Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is coming to PS5 on August 12th, players on all platforms can avail of the free Enhanced update on the same day. Xbox Wire reveals that it’s adding a new Performance Mode on consoles, allowing players to experience the action-adventure in 60 frames per second.
PC players get a new “Very High” graphical preset, and the title will also be verified for the Steam Deck. In terms of gameplay, Ninja Theory is bringing back The Dark Rot from Senua’s Sacrifice. Whenever Senua falls, the Rot spreads her body, and if it reaches her head, the game is over. Your progress is also effectively gone, making this a powerful hardcore-style challenge.
Photo Mode is also getting enhancements, including a Motion tab for video capture and improvements to “a multitude of settings.” There will also be over four hours of commentary from the cast, development team and more.
Stay tuned for more details when the update drops. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review here.
