Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is Still Being Worked on at Saber Interactive – Rumour

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic - Remake

Star Wars: Knights of the Old – Republic has been caught in a vortex of behind-the-scenes drama ever since its announcement, with the project having been taken off developer Aspyr Media and handed over to Saber Interactive last year, along with being hit with an indefinite delay. Recently, journalist Jeff Grubb claimed, however, that development on the remake had stopped altogether, even at Saber, throwing into question whether the title will ever see the light of day.

And whether that still very much remains a valid question, it seems that development might not have paused on the game entirely. In a recent post on ResetEra, journalist Jason Schreier stated that he has been told by two people at Saber Interactive that they are still working on the game. However, though it does seem to be in development in some capacity, Schreier does also raise questions over whether the game will ever come out, or of it does, what form it will take.

“‘Is it alive?’ and ‘Will it ever actually come out?’ are two very different questions. A third is ‘If it does ever come out, what will it actually look like?’” he wrote. “That said, I’ve talked to two people at Saber who both say they’re still currently working on it, so I don’t believe that the comment that it isn’t being worked on “in any way” right now is true.”

For its part, Saber Interactive parent company Embracer Group has consistently refused to comment on the state of the project’s development, including as recently as earlier this month.
